CERTIFICATE OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE - MENTOR

from The Inter-Chamber Certification Body (DIFOP)

Mentoring is a dynamic advisory relationship between two parties—the “Mentor” and the “Mentee” or “Protégé.” This relationship is governed by the fundamental principles of mutual trust, understanding, and confidentiality.

The Mentor’s primary goal is to guide the Mentee to a professional level where they can develop the ability and confidence to make their own decisions, enrich their knowledge, and enhance their skills.

Through Mentoring, we promote Relationship Building, Appreciation, Coaching, and Guidance.

Mentoring in Entrepreneurship / Business Mentoring

In recent years, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have faced sustainability and competitiveness challenges due to the pressures of the globalized business environment and economic crises.

Many SMEs, due to limited administrative and financial capacity, turn to external consultants to address these challenges.

Recognizing the need for businesses to be flexible, innovative, and sustainable—and acknowledging the demand for 360° advisory support—Business Mentoring has emerged as a key practice.

Business Mentoring is a method increasingly adopted in recent years to support and strengthen entrepreneurs and business personnel by transferring expertise and knowledge management from specialized and experienced professionals.

The goal of  Mentoring is to:

  • Support and cultivate new leadership roles within a company.

  • Increase productivity and competitiveness.

  • Establish a strong corporate culture.

  • Align the personal goals of Mentees with the broader objectives of the business.

The Inter-Chamber Certification Body (DIFOP) is an initiative of the Central Union of Chambers of Greece (KEEE) established to provide accredited ISO 17024 certification services. It addresses modern needs within the framework of Lifelong Learning and Training by offering internationally recognized certifications.

Since July 2020, DIFOP’s corporate capital has been transferred to the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Our main goal is to certify individuals by recognizing their knowledge and experience, meeting specific, documented requirements, specifications, and processes.

Key to achieving these goals is promoting awareness and understanding of the necessity and value of professional certification in relation to qualifications.

Through the certification process, individuals are given the opportunity to enhance and develop specialized knowledge and skills, benefiting both themselves and society.

Additionally, this serves as a means to preserve, secure, and promote traditional local professions and activities, for which the Chambers of Greece have shown great sensitivity.
